Shaista takes serious notice of Jirga's inhuman decision

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2017 ) :Secretary Women's Parliamentary Caucus Shaista Pervaiz Malik Thursday shown concern and anguish over the settlement of arecent rape case by the local "Jirga".

She sought exemplary punishment for the Jirga members for committing the heinous crime.

"It is an offence not only in the common law but in the eyes of Allah and in Sharia" she added. "Jirgas and Panchayats" had been banned by the high courts and the Supreme court, she said adding andasked for concrete measures to stop such an event in future.

Shaista Pervaiz Malik has asked for taking stringent measures in eliminating Jirgas and Panchayats.
