ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2017 ) : The Supreme Court Thursday sought reply from the Interior Ministry regarding putting the name of Dr Asim Hussain on the Exit Control List (ECL).
A three-member SC bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Ahsan heard Dr Asim's plea to remove his name from the ECL. The bench observed that it wanted to know if there was any legal procedure for putting any one's name on the ECL.
The court also expressed its dissatisfaction over the medical certificates regarding Dr Hussain's health.
Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan remarked that nine medical boards were formed to examine Dr Asim Hussain's health, which had suggested different kind of illness.
Latif Khosa, counsel for Dr Hussain, said his client was suffering from a spinal problem which was apparently incurable in Pakistan. He argued that other suspects involved in the case had already been allowed to travel abroad. The case was adjourned till date in office.
