Rice growers must avoid burning of rice stubbles as it harms the organic substance on the upper level of the land besides affecting its fertility
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Oct, 2017 ) :Rice growers must avoid burning of rice stubbles as it harms the organic substance on the upper level of the land besides affecting its fertility.
A spokesman of the Punjab Agriculture department said this here on Wednesday.
He said that growers must plough the land deep to dispose of stubbles and use rotavator and disc harrow machines to mix rice stubbles in the land. He said that burning of stubbles not only puts negative impact on the fertility of land but also causes air pollution. APP/yrb/zqr
