RCB Starts Monsoon Tree Plantation

RAWALPINDI (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th july, 2016) : The Rawalpindi Cantonment board (RCB) Wednesday started Monsoon Tree Plantation here by planting saplings along Kashmir road to provide the residents a healthy environment. According to RCB Spokesman Qaiser Mehmood, initially some fifty saplings had been planted along the road in Saddar area and more roads and areas would be covered in due course of time.
He urged the area shopkeepers to help the authority in protecting the plantations. He further said some 3700 saplings would be planted during the campaign. He said we would cover various areas falling in our purview adding that the residents must play their role by in carrying out plantation in and around their residences to help protect environment which was getting warmer due to depleting greenery.
