Rao Tahseen To Be Considered For Promotion: DAG Informs IHC

Deputy Attorney General (DAG) informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that Establishment Division would consider the former principal information officer (PIO), Rao Tehseen Ali for promotion following the rules

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Sep, 2017 ) : Deputy Attorney General (DAG) informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that Establishment Division would consider the former principal information officer (PIO), Rao Tehseen Ali for promotion following the rules.

Justice Aamir Farooq heard the application moved by the Rao Tehseen Ali Khan seeking directions for Establishment Division to consider him for promotion in upcoming meeting of Central Selection board (CSB).

Deputy Attorney General, Khalid Mahmood appeared before the bench and submitted Division's reply in compliance with earlier court orders, stating that Tehseen Rao would be considered for promotion from BPS- 21 to BPS-22 following the rules and regulations.

Rao was of view that the inquiry into the publication of a news report carried by Dawn on a meeting between civilian and military leaders might be a barrier in his promotion. After submission of satisfactory reply on part of Establishment Division the bench disposed of the application.
