People staged forceful protests in Handwara against custodial killing of a student by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Aug, 2017 ) : People staged forceful protests in Handwara against custodial killing of a student by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. Massive protests broke out in Ramhal area of Handwara after the news spread that a student from Daril Tarathpora was killed by Indian troops and was dubbed as a militant, KMS reported.
The protesters raised high-pitched pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. The family of the 23-year-old student namely Shahid Ahmad Mir, told media men that he was killed by Indian troops in a fake encounter. The father of the victim said that Indian army had picked his son a few days back and later killed him in a staged encounter.
