'Promotion Of Sports Activities To Increase Tolerance Level

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Dec, 2017 ) :University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Zafar on Thursday said that promotion of sports activities would help increase the tolerance level.
He was addressing concluding session of sports gala arranged by Directorate of Sports, University of Agriculture Faisalabad in collaboration with Interloop. The sports gala comprised football, cricket and hockey.
UAF, National Textile University, Government College University Faisalabad, Postgraduate College Samanabad, Degree College Samnabad, Divisional Public College Faisalabad, LESCO and other educational institute and sport club took part in the gala.
The wining crown of cricket and hockey was won by Government College University Faisalabad against Divisional Public school and Gojra Hockey Club. In the football tournament, Aulakh Football Club defeated Lesco.
In the girl cricket match, University Blues won against the University Red. Addressing on the occasion, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Zafar said that sports activities among the youth were fading away from the society.
He said that positive thinking was imperative to excel in the every field of life. He called for developing sportsman spirit in the youth to prepare them to face the difficult situation in life.
He said that UAF was taking tangible steps to promote the sport culture. UAF Chairman Sports board Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq said that the university was making conscious efforts to promote the healthy activities.
He said that state-of-the-art sports facilities were being provided to the students. Executive Director Interloop Brig. (r) Ahmad Raza was the guest of honor at the concluding session whereas Mrs Musadiq Zulqarnain was chief guest of women cricket match.
