MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Oct, 2017 ) : Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashood Ahmed said on Tuesday that practical steps were being taken to promote education sector in the province.
Addressing the bicycles and education cards distribution ceremony, he said that every child whether he belongs to the rich or the poor family would be provided education. The Punjab government was taking revolutionary measures to improve quality education in far-flung areas of the province, he said.
He said the government was also well-aware of transportation needs of students and it was offering facility to students across the province.
Rana Mashood said the Punjab government earmarked Rs 345 billion for school education.
About six lakh children of private schools were enrolled in governments schools. He further informed the government had also initiated food programme for school children . The school food programme was also launched from Muzaffargarh and Layyah.
The provincial minister added that every possible facility was given in schools. He urged the teachers to play their effective role in promotion of education. On this occasion, secretary education Dr Allah Bukhash, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saif and local parliamentarian were also present.
