Polling For LA-37 Valley II Seat Under Way

LAHORE,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st july,2016) : Polling for LA-37 Valley II seat for Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is in progress in a transparent and orderly manner. Polling will continue without any break till 5 pm; however, voters present in the polling stations will be allowed to cast their votes even after the closing time. Some 3,935 Kashmiri refugees settled in Lahore are exercising their right to franchise.
There are 2,172 male and 1763 female voters. The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements to hold the elections in a free, fair and transparent manner. Foolproof security arrangements have been made to ensure fairness, impartiality and transparency of the elections. Heavy police are deployed at the polling stations to maintain law and order. Candidates backed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan People's Party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf are in the run in today's election.
