Polling For AJK Elections Ends Peacefully In Karachi

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21th july, 2016) : The polling in two Constituencies of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly falling in Karachi has ended peacefully. The polling which started at 8.00 a.m.
continued till 5.00 p.m. on Thursday without any break. The polling was held in a peaceful manner and no untoward incident was reported from anywhere in the city. The Senior officials of law enforcement agencies visited various polling stations and reviwed security arragements.
A total 46 polling stations had been set up for the elections in Karachi for over 12,000 voters.
The candidates for LA-30 Jammu included Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nasir Hussain Dar, Pakistan People's Party's (PPP) Chaudhry Mir Haider, Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM) Muhammad Mansha and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Maqsood-uz-Zaman Khan. For LA-36 Valley, the candidates included PML-N's Naeem Khan, PPP's Amir Ghaffar, PTI's Rizwan Shah and MQM's Rehman Ghasi.
