Police Foil Two Arms Smuggling Bids In Kohat

Police have foiled two bids of weapons' smuggling by recovering a huge cache of arms on Indus Highway near Lachi Toll plaza and Pindi interchange and arrested four smugglers red handed.

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2018 ) :Police have foiled two bids of weapons' smuggling by recovering a huge cache of arms on Indus Highway near Lachi Toll plaza and Pindi interchange and arrested four smugglers red handed.

District Police Officer Abbas Majeed Marwat after receiving a tip-off about smuggling of weapons from Adamkhel FR Kohat to down the country, has alerted police to frustrate the bids, said a press release.

Meanwhile, a car appeared on the scene on Indus Highway that was stopped at Toll Plaza near Kohat. During its search, 60 pistols of 9MM and 4,450 rounds were seized. In another incident, two more alleged smugglers who were trying to smuggle one SMG, one repeater, six pistols, 20 chargers, and hundreds of cartridges to Punjab from Dara Adam Khel were also arrested on Indus Highway near Pindi interchange.

Police have registered the cases.
