LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Oct, 2016 ) : Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) Monday strongly condemned the Indian aggression at the Line of Control (LoC). PIAF Chairman Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Vice Chairman Tanveer Ahmed Sufi and Vice Chairman Shahzeb Akram, in a joint statement here, said that the Indian acts had created an alarming situation which was dangerous for regional peace.
Irfan Sheikh said that the nation was standing behind the Pakistan Army, adding that business community fully supported the guardians of country's ideological and geographical frontiers. "We are peaceful, but in case of any aggression our armed forces are capable of detering any aggression effectively," he warned.
The chairman called for taking a tough stand and ending trade relations with India, as bilateral trade volume was already in India's favour.
"It's very unfortunate that SAARC conference has been postponed and it will have a deep impact on the economy of this region," he observed.
The office-bearers said that Indian aggression had also made the ceasefire agreement ineffective. The PIAF leaders urged Pakistan government to continue to raise the issue at all international forums forcefully and announced their full support to the government to protect and save the country from any foreign aggression.
They stressed New Delhi to utilise its all available resources to bring prosperity in the region. South Asia had great potential to boost economies of the region and if proper steps were taken, poverty and unemployment could be reduced, they said and asserted Pakistan always wanted better relations with India, but no compromise would be made on its dignity and sovereignty.
