PFA's Awareness Drive Against Rising Ratio Of Breast Cancer

Following the directions of Punjab Chief Minister to provide pure food to the people of the province, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has started awareness campaign against formula milk instead of breast feeding to children

LAHORE, Oct 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Oct, 2017 ) : Following the directions of Punjab Chief Minister to provide pure food to the people of the province, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has started awareness campaign against formula milk instead of breast feeding to children.

This was decided in a meeting of the health experts and Director General PFA Noor-ul-Ameen Mengal while taking notice of raise in ratio of breast cancer in women, here on Wednesday. It was said in the meeting that formula milk instead of breast feeding to children was one of the major cause of breast cancer in women.

It was decided in the meeting that awareness seminars and other programmes would be launched in colleges, universities and medical institutions to raise awareness about the benefits of breast feeding and harms of formula milk.
