Pakistan Day Observed In Faisalabad

The Pakistan Day was observed across the district on Friday with national enthusiasm and fervor to renew the pledge for tranforming the country into a modern Islamic welfare state.

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2018 ) :The Pakistan Day was observed across the district on Friday with national enthusiasm and fervor to renew the pledge for tranforming the country into a modern Islamic welfare state.

The main ceremony of flag hoisting was held at DC Complex. Minister of State for Commerce and Textile industry Haji Mohammad Akram Ansari, MNA Begum Khalida Mansoor, MPA Fatima Fareeha, Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani, CPO Afzaal Ahmad Kousar, hoisted the national flag while the officers of different departments, representatives of civil society were also present on the occasion.

The participants of the ceremony sang the national anthem while a active contingent of police presented salute. Sweets were distributed among the participants and special prayers were offered for the progress of Pakistan and national unity.

Expressing their views, speakers said the entire nation was celebrating the Pakistan Day with unity as it was an historical day of Pakistan history when Pakistan resolution was passed. They vowed that Pakistan would be made welfare state by following the golden principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The Pakistan Day was also observed at New Senate Hall, University of Agriculture Faisalabad with traditional zeal and spirit. Different competitions including Qirar, naat, debate, essay, and others were arranged on the occasion.

The participants also took a walk from Admin Block to Auditorium to mark the day. Meanwhile, a flag hoisting ceremony was also held in the District Jail where Mayor Faisalabad Mohammad Razzaq Malik along with superintendent district jail hoisted the Pakistan flag.

Sweets were distributed among prisoners and special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. Similarly, various political, social, business, educational and other organizations arranged different events to highlight the importance of Pakistan resolution.

Banners and steamers pertaining to the slogans of Yum-e-Pakistan were display at roads, intersections and other public place by the district administration. Earlier, the day dawn with the special prayers in all mosques for the solidarity and national unity.
