Pak, Asian Development Bank (ADB) Sign $260m Loan Agreement To Improve Power Transmission Network

Pakistan and Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed a $260 million loan agreement to improve the country's power transmission network.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Mar, 2018 ) :Pakistan and Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed a $260 million loan agreement to improve the country's power transmission network.
The agreement was signed by ADB Country Director, Xiaohong Yang and Secretary Economic Affairs Syed Ghazanfar Abbas Jilani here on Tuesday, reported Radio Pakistan.
The Director-General said the Bank was committed to work with Pakistan to develop a larger, stronger, smarter, and climate resilient power transmission network.
The agreement envisages expanding 220-KV transmission network in Sindh and Balochistan and upgrading the supervisory control and data acquisition and revenue metering systems in the country.
