Opening Of 7th E-Rozgaar Centre At GCWU Sialkot On Tuesday

LAHORE, (Pakistan Point News - 21st Aug, 2017 ): The 7th "Chief Minister's e-Rozgaar Centre", a joint project of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Youth Affairs, Sports, Archaeology & Tourism (YASAT) would be inaugurated at Government College Women University (GCWU) Sialkot on Tuesday (August 22)
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Aug, 2017 ) : The 7th "Chief Minister's e-Rozgaar Centre", a joint project of Punjab Information Technology board (PITB) and Youth Affairs, sports, Archaeology & Tourism (YASAT) would be inaugurated at Government College Women University (GCWU) Sialkot on Tuesday (August 22).
According to a spokesman of PITB, advisor to the Chief Minister, Chairman PITB and founding Vice Chancellor of Information Technology University (ITU) Punjab Dr Umar Saif will inaugurate the Centre.
The Vice Chancellor Government College for Women University Professor Dr. Farhat Saleemi will sign MoU on the occasion. Earlier, similar centres were opened at University of Gujrat, Government College Women University Faisalabad, UET, Taxila, COMSATS, Sahiwal and University of the Punjab, Jhelum Campus, which were actively operating training sessions.
The PITB registered 33105 applications from young graduates and on the basis of merit selected candidates will be given three months training in three phases for freelance self-employment in technical, non-technical and creative designing areas at 40 training centres by high profile trainers.
Among these centres five were dedicated for female candidates. In the first phase 10,000 candidates, selected on merit through a transparent process, will be trained in three different batches during the current year.
Under this program these centres will provide free training to the candidates throughout Punjab in 40 CM e-Rozgaar Centres, being established with the estimated cost of Rs. 547 million in multiple universities of the province.
