OPC Gets Vacated 75 Kanal Land Of OPF Housing Scheme

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2017 ) :As a result of substantive intervention made by the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC), Punjab, as many as 75 Kanal land worth Rs 300 million of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Housing Scheme Lahore has been successfully retrieved from illegal occupation.
Vice Chairperson OPC Shaheen Khalid Butt informed that Regional Office OPF, Lahore filed a complaint with the OPC that OPF had bought 75 Kanal 12 Marla land to develop a housing scheme for Overseas Pakistanis in village Rakh Rai, District Lahore, but despite of payment, previous owner is not handing over possession of land to OPF.
Shaheen Khalid Butt informed that OPC with the help of relevant agencies got the said property vacated and handed over to OPF. He also told that OPC is vigorously pursuing the issues of Overseas Pakistanis and so far 50 percent of the received complaints of expatriates have been settled.
