One More Civilian Succumbs In Held Kashmir

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd july,2016) : The death toll in the ongoing Kashmir Intifada has risen to 50 with the succumbing of another civilian at a hospital in Held Srinagar on Friday. According to KMS, the civilian, Ishfaq Ahmed, a resident of Kokernag area of Islamabad district, succumbed to his injuries in the Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar, on Friday.
He was injured four days ago after being hit by a bullet fired by forces on peaceful protesters in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK). The Intifada was triggered by the extrajudicial killing of top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, on 8th July. With the death of Ishfaq Ahmed, the toll in the ongoing Intifada has risen to 50 while over 5,000 people have been injured so far due to the firing of bullets, pallets and teargas shells by Indian troops and police personnel on the protesters.
