NTDS, PESCO, TESCO asked to improve efficiency

PESHAWAR, (Pakistan Point News - 22th july, 2016) : Advisor to Prime Minister Amir Muqam on Friday asked National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC), Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) and Tribal area Electric Supply Company (TESCO) to improve efficiency and provide relief to masses. Presiding over a high level meeting of NTDC, PESCO, TESCO at Cabinet Block in Islamabad, he directed the departments concerned to start 220 KVA Malakand, Chardara and DI Khan grid stations in August and complete the projects on war footing before December 2017 to end unscheduled loadshedding, a press release issued here said.

"Meanwhile the meeting approved power supply to Shangla from Khan Khwar Dam. Amir Muqam on the occasion said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif believes in practical work and not in hallow slogans or promises. On the occasion, Chief Executive PESCO Anwar ul Haq, Chief Engineer TESCO Zakullah briefed the Advisor and participants of the meeting about ongoing projects, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA. The meeting decided to fill the vacant posts in PESCO and TESCO to improve the performance of the two companies, while Engineer Amir Muqam directed the TESCO chief to expedite work on grid stations in Bajaur and Khyber Agency.

The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary Water and Power Javed Abbas, Chief Executives PESCO and TESCO, General Manager Wajahat Saeed, GM PESCO Ghulam Muhammad and other high officials. Later, talking to media, Engineer Amir Muqam the overwhelming victory of PML-N in general elections of AJK is evident of the fact that Kashmiri people have trust in leadership of PML-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that those who were seeking resignation of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif should have to realize that PML-N is the true representative of the people of pakistan and Kashmir. Muqam said PML-N leadership would never dent the confidence of the Kashmiris and come up to their expectations.
