No Major Terrorism Incident Reported In Swat During Last Ten Months: DIG

Acting DIG Malakand, Muhammad Ijaz Khan Thursday said that no major terrorism incident has been reported in Swat district during last ten months due search and strike operations of police force and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD)
SWAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Oct, 2017 ) :Acting DIG Malakand, Muhammad Ijaz Khan Thursday said that no major terrorism incident has been reported in Swat district during last ten months due search and strike operations of police force and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
Talking to media persons here, he said no major terrorism incident except single improvised explosive devise explosion at Tambhagat has been reported. He said that several hardcore terrorists have been arrested and huge quantity of arms and ammunitions have been recovered by police and CTD.
He said that police force is capable to handle any untoward incident while mark tourist activity has been witnessed due to prevailing calm owing to efforts of police force.
He said that minor crimes ratio has increased a bit while terrorists activities has been decreased and law and order situation is good as compare to other districts.
Acting DIG informed that Swat has two major issues including traffic and non-custom paid (NCP) cars that were often used in terrorism activities, maintaining that Swat police department has introduced software which will registered all NCP cars through computerized system leading to proper location of vehicles involved in terrorists activities.
