New History Of Transparency, Honesty, Hard Work Being Written: Shehbaz Sharif

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2017 ) : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that a new history of transparency, honesty and hard work was being written throughout Pakistan including Punjab under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
The Chief Minister expressed these views while talking to Members National Assembly belonging to Dera Ghazi Khan Division who called on him, here. During the meeting which lasted three hours, development projects of South Punjab, public welfare programmes, Kisaan Package, wheat procurement campaign, Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme, public peace and other welfare programmes were discussed.
Shehbaz Sharif said that under Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme, rural roads had been constructed at a cost of billions of rupees in South Punjab and relief had been provided to the farmers through subsidized fertilizers.
He said that standards of transparency, honesty and hard work set by Nawaz Sharif had become a role model. He said that present government had generated resources through saving billions of rupees in development projects and power plants were witness to transparency, honesty and hard work.
The CM said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would inaugurate 1320-Megawatt Coal Power Project at Sahiwal tomorrow. He said that 660 megawatt electricity was being generated through first plant of this project while a gas power project was producing electricity in Bhikki.
Shehbaz Sharif said that 400 megawatt solar power projects had been set up at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park Bahawalpur and more projects of 300 megawatt solar energy were also being established, and added that darkness of electricity would be removed from the country in the beginning of 2018.
The Chief Minister said that sit-ins ruined economy while lock down was a conspiracy against progress of the country. He said that despite difficulties, Pakistan was moving forward and added that CPEC would change the fate of Pakistan.
He said that politicizing national projects was poisonous. He said that record resources would be provided in the next budget for the development of south Punjab and prosperity of its people. He said that electricity tariff for agri tube-wells had been fixed at 5.33 rupees per unit.
He said that an increase of 250-beds was being made in Government Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Muzaffargarh and this extension project would be completed by December 25 from the resources of Punjab government.
The CM said that Saaf Pani Programme was being launched from 37 tehsils of South Punjab and added that this project would be completed in the start of 2018. Shehbaz Sharif said that 16 more mobile hospitals would be made available in South Punjab during next financial year and all out resources would be provided for development of South Punjab.
He said that effective steps should be taken for checking water theft. The Chief Minister said that people never forgot those serving them and greatly loved them. He said that Members Assembly should make public service their mission.
Members Assembly appreciated Kisaan Package and best arrangements in wheat procurement campaign. PML-N leader MNA Hamza Shehbaz, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Sher Ali Gorchani, Provincial Ministers, Senator Saud Majeed, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary and concerned secretaries were present on the occasion.
