Namaz-e-Janaza Of Amjad Hussain Sayed Offered

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2017 ) : Namaz-e-Janaza of Colonel (retd) Amjad Hussain Sayed, the father of Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Senator Mushahid Hussain, was offered at New Muslim Town, here on Wednesday, Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, PML-Q Chief Ch Shujat Hussain, PML-Q Punjab president Ch Pervez Elahi, former chief justice Lahore High Court Khawaja Muhammad Sharif, Pakistan Tehreeke-e-Insaf leader Ch Muhammad Sarwar, former Punjab governor Khalid Maqbool, former NA Speaker Fakhar Imam, Sardar Attiq Ahmed, Jamat-e-Islami leader Liaqat Baloch, Awami National Party leader Afrasiab Khatak, other political and social personalities besides a large number of people attended the funeral prayer.

Colonel (retd) Amjad Hussain Sayed was a senior officer of the Pakistan Army, commissioned in January 1942, as well as a gold medallist of the Pakistan Movement. He personally participated in the October 1937 session of the All India Muslim League in Lucknow and the March 1940 Lahore session of the All India Muslim League.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed deep grief over the sad demise of veteran leader of the Pakistan Movement Col (retd) Amjad Hussain Sayed. The chief minister said late Amjad Hussain Sayed was one of the founding leaders of Muslim Students Federation who actively took part in the struggle for the creation of an independent Muslim State.
