NAB Chairman Reviews Multan Office Performance

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2017 ) : National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry Friday visited Multan Regional Bureau office to review its performance on the basis of annual inspection, conducted by Chairman's Inspection & Monitoring Team (CI&MT), for the year 2016.
The CI&MT senior member, who conducted the inspection, gave a detailed briefing to the NAB chairman and highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of the regional office. He said that in 2016, NAB Multan received 2,523 complaints, which were processed according to the law.
Out of 222 complaints, verification of 206 has been completed, while out of 79 inquiries, 58 have been completed. Out of 29 investigations, NAB Multan has completed 21 on merit, he said adding that the regional office arrested 42 persons for corruption and recovered Rs 1158.43 million from them.
