NA Body Shows Concern Over Non-development At E-12 Sector

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st july,2016) : National Assembly Standing Committee on Government Assurance showed serious concerns over the non- development of sector E-12 by Capital Development Authority (CDA) despite lapse of 26 years.
The Committee meeting held here on Thursday at Parliament House under the Chairmanship Malik Abrar Ahmed and attended by MNAs including Abdul Majeed Khan Khanan Khail, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, Murad Saeed, Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Rajab Ali Khan Baloch, Sher Akbar Khan and Minister for CAAD Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry. The Chairman, CDA explained that the grant of award without having proper funds was an inappropriate step by the CDA.
There should have been sufficient funds before granting award to the affectees.
however they were making efforts to make a board of the honest officers to resolve this matter amicably. The Committee also took serious notice of the absence of the Secretary, Water and Power or a senior officer on this behalf in the meeting and postponed the agenda item for the next meeting. The Committee also took serious notice of the absence of the President, ZTBL in the meeting and held that the presence of the chief operating Officer was not sufficient to satisfy the members on the issue therefore the agenda item was postponed for the next committee meeting.
