Murree And Its Suburban Areas Receives Light Snow Fall, Rain

MURREE, Jan 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Jan, 2017 ) :After four months long dry spell Murree and its suburban areas Wednesday received light snow fall and rain. A large number of tourists from various areas of the country were already reached Murree owing to the Met Office predictions of snow fall.
Locals and tourists became happy to witness the first snow fall of the ongoing winter season. The natural water channels of Murree and its adjoining areas were getting dry due to long dry spell and vegetables, fruits and other crops were affected adversely due to long dry spell.
A large number of tourists have also started visiting Murree from Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Punjab Highway Department started clearing various roads of the city from snow for smooth flow of traffic.
Murree City Traffic police has already made arrangements for smooth functioning of traffic and wardens have been deployed at various places. Wardens are driving motorcycles equipped with modern appliances, specially designed for moving in snow fall.
