Multan Electric Power Company Has 247 Power Pilferers Held In January 2018

Monitoring and Surveillance (M&S) checking team of Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has arrested 247 power pilferers during an operation launched in the month of January, 2018.

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2018 ) :Monitoring and Surveillance (M&S) checking team of Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has arrested 247 power pilferers during an operation launched in the month of January, 2018.

According to Mepco sources, in line with special directions of CEO Mepco Engineer Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, monitoring and surveillance checking teams led by manager M&S Engineer Abbas Lashari launched an operation against power pilferers across the region during the month of January 2018.

During the operation teams arrested 247 power pilferers and imposed fine over Rs six millions out of which 2.

4 millions had been recovered from them. The teams arrested 29 pilferers in Makhdoompur sub division, 20 in Kabirwala sub-division, seven in Karor Lal Eason, 10 in Chowk Azam, seven in Fatehpur, 13 in Layyah first, 14 in Khanewal first, five in Khanewal second, 29 in civil line sub division Khanewal, nine in Kacha Khue, nine in Chowk Bahadur Rahim Yar Khan, three in Jamal Din, one in Set-lite Town, 46 in Ahmedpur while seven power pilferers had been arrested in Rahimabad sub division.
