Mepco Seeks Approval For 2500 Transformers

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2017 ) : Procurement committee of Mepco has sought approval from Mepco board of directors for purchase of 2500 distribution transformers here on Monday.
The application has been sent to board of directors after a meeting of procurement committee led by chairman Khawaja Muhammad Azam held here. The committee has sought approval for purchase of 1000 transformers of 25 KVA and 1500 of 50 KVA.
The committee has also sought approval for purchase of 500 metre PVC 4-core, 20000 LT spin poles, 10000 HT spin poles, 20000 kilometre ACSR Osprey conductors, one year contract for repairing of burnt transformers and construction of 10 flats at Wapda Town Phase II.
Earlier, meeting of audit and finance committee of Mepco was also held which was led by Chairman Mian Shahid Iqbal. The chairman committee directed officers of resolve tariff and other cases pending at NEPRA. He directed them to send procurement plan of development and civil works till June 15, 2017.
