Mayor Concerned Over Demolition Of Banglows For Building Portions

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th May, 2017 ) : Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar has expressed concern on the construction of portions after demolition of banglows, and stressed that multi-storey buildings be built keeping in view the city's civic infrastructure.

Talking to a delegation of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD), here on Tuesday, he said the people of Karachi were already facing various civic problems, which need to be addressed as soon as possible.

"We all can build and develop our city into a modern city with better facilities available for people," he added.

The ABAD delegation led by its Chairman Mohsin Shaikhani and including office bearers and members Vice Chairman Hassan Bakhsh and former vice chairman Rizwan Adyia, called on the Mayor at his office, said a statement on Tuesday.

The delegation members assured the Mayor of all possible support in solving the city's problems and in the development activities. They also said that high-rise buildings be constructed on roads declared as commercial during the tenure of former Nazims of the city.
