Manzoor Afridi To Assume Charge As Caretaker CM

Manzoor Afridi will assume charge as caretaker Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Tuesday after completion of five year tenure of the provincial assembly today.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2018 ) :Manzoor Afridi will assume charge as caretaker Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Tuesday after completion of five year tenure of the provincial assembly today.

Chief Minister Pervaz Khattak and Opposition leader in the provincial assembly Maulana Lutf-ur-Rehman have agreed on the name of Manzoor Afridi after much deliberation and several sittings to choose the name for caretaker Chief minister.

According to official notification, in the pursuance of Article 107 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Provincial Assembly of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shall stand dissolved on completion of its terms of five (5) years at 12:00 am (mid night) on 28.06.2018.
