Ladies councilors demanded for equal distribution of fund for developmental schemes

A meeting of ladies councilors was held here on Tuesday at town hall under the chair of Assistant Commissioner Sajid Nawaz and assured them for releasing of Community-Driven Local Development (CDLD) fund soon

CHITRAL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2018 ) ::A meeting of ladies councilors was held here on Tuesday at town hall under the chair of Assistant Commissioner Sajid Nawaz and assured them for releasing of Community-Driven Local Development (CDLD) fund soon.

District Nazim Maghfirat Shah, District Officer Finance and Planning of Community Driven Local Development (CDLD) Hayat shah and Assistant Director Local Government and Rural Development Department, Eng Faheem Jalal were also present on this occasion.

The meeting was called upon by AC Chitral Sajid Nawaz ladies councilors were briefed and discussed regarding CDLD fund and share to women. Regarding discrimination in developmental fund by district government, District Nazim denied and assured for equal distribution of fund to women councilors for developmental plans.Ladies councilors appreciated the district administration for including women folk for forest royalty adding the step would make self reliant economically and reduce their dependency on male.

They were briefed to play their role in discouraging usage of plastic bags and to use bio degradable bags which is environmental friendly bags. They were briefed that awareness campaign regarding bio degradable bags have already been launched at Chitral and traders, shopkeepers have been informed to stop using of plastic bags and to use these newly introduced bags which are available on the same price.

The ladies councilors' complaint regarding non availability of their separate offices where women of their entire constituency came and discuss their issues. Assistant Commissioner Sajid Nawaz assured them to resolve their issues on priority bases.
