KP IGP Awards Swat Police Officers, Jawans For Busting Gangs Of Dacoits

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Tuesday awarded Swat Police officers and Jawans for busting gang of dacoits who were committing crimes in disguise of security forces

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Oct, 2017 ) :The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan Tuesday awarded Swat Police officers and Jawans for busting gang of dacoits who were committing crimes in disguise of security forces.

Addressing a ceremony here at CPO office, the IGP Salahuddin Khan appreciated the scientific investigation and professional acumen of the Swat police in cases of robberies. He directed the awardees to accept every case as a challenge and put their best for working out the case and they will definitely succeed by achieving the set targets.

Meanwhile, it was informed that a few days ago 5 well equipped dacoits wearing uniform of security forces had looted 6 houses in a village Bala Sur in district Swat and told the inmates that they were from security forces and came to arrest terrorists and collected household item including jewellery, mobile phones, and cash money.

They were further told that these items will be returned to them later on. A police team was constituted to solve this case. The team by demonstrating extreme professionalism and scientific investigation traced the car in Shangla used in the incident and arrested all five dacoits involved in the case.

The Police team recovered 21 tola gold, Rs 80 thousands, two mobile phone sets, one pistol, property documents and uniform used in the incident. The arrested gang also confessed the offence before the police and media.

Similarly in another case Rahim Abad police station had found a dead body folded in a sack from a well. During the course of investigation the police team very intelligently traced the blind murder case through some marks and mobile number on the inside of the sack and arrested the real accused who later on confessed his crime in the court.

Those who received awards included SDPO Matta Muhammad Akbar Shinwari, SHO Shaheen Shah and Investigation officer Afzal Khan (on working out dacoity case) and SDPO city circle Habibullah Khan, SHO PS Rahim Abad Muhammad Iqbal and Investigation Officer Bahadar Khan (who traced the blind murder case) with cash prizes and commendation certificates.
