Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police Dr. Syed Kalim Imam said Thursday that the officers of National Highways & Motorway Police were known by their distinctive traits like lawful earnings
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Sep, 2017 ) : Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police Dr. Syed Kalim Imam said Thursday that the officers of National Highways & Motorway Police were known by their distinctive traits like lawful earnings, honesty, courtesy, help to people in distress and equal application of law.
"We will uphold the said standard at all cost." He said NH&MP was service oriented force and provision of prompt help to the distressed road users is the hallmark of the department. He delivered these remarks while chairing a meeting in NH&MP Training College Sheikhupura and Sector HQ M-2 (South) & M-4, Sialmor.
The Meeting was attended by the DIG Motorway Ghulam Rasul Zahid, Commandant Training College Sheikhupura DIG Khalid Mahmood, SSP M-2 (South) Kamran Adil, SSP M-2 (North) Shehryaz Sikandar, SSP M-1 Aftab Mehsud, DSP Training College Shazia Shahid other Senior officers and uniformed /non-uniformed staff Motorway Police.
The IG, NH&MP said that it was an honor for him to command a well reputed organization of the country. He said that well-mannered conduct with commuters, courtesy and indiscriminate enforcement of law must be ensured to enhance the image of NH&MP.
He further stated that National Highways & Motorway Police is a prestigious organization of our country and its officers are well learned and well mannered. Moreover, he added that working of NH&MP is expanding on all National Highways and Motorways in future and working is in progress to provide manpower and logistic to cope with the situation efficiently and professionally.
The Inspector General appreciated the working of field staff, who had earned the good repute of NH&MP and required them to continue their working with same spirit. IG directed the Sector Commanders to arrange different capacity building courses for the field staff to improve their professional skills and working capacity.
He further said that best medical policy will soon be launched for NH&MP employees and their families and Constables/head Constables will promoted soon. Later Inspector General Dr. Kalim Imam heard the problems of officers and directed for suitable solutions on priority basis.
