IRSA releases 77,200 cusecs water

The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Monday released 77,200 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 32,100 cusecs

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2018 ) :The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Monday released 77,200 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 32,100 cusecs. According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1414.00 feet, which was 34.00 feet higher than its dead level of 1,380 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 12,900 cusecs and outflow as 40,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1075.75 feet, which was 35.75 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 2,000 cusecs and 20,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 53,000, 37,700 and 4,700 cusecs respectively. Similarly from the Kabul River, 10,100 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 1600 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
