IMU Being Establish In FATA To Check Teacher's Absenteeism

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jan, 2017 ) : Secretary Social Sector department of Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) has said that Independent Monitoring Unite (IMU) is being established in FATA to check teacher's absenteeism and make sure 100% attendance.
He briefed the National Assembly Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON), which met here Monday in Parliament House, under the Chairmanship of Muhammad Jamal ud Din, MNA. The meeting was also attended by Ghalib Khan, Begum Tahira Bukhari, Iffat Liaqat, Dr.
Asma Mamdot, Surraiya Jatoi, Aftab Shaban Mirani, Qaiser Jamal, Muhammad Kamal Malik, Bilal Rehman, Nasir Khan, Sahibzada Tariq Ullah and Mian Shahid Hussain Khan Bhatti MNAs and Officers/Officials of the Ministry.
The Secretary Social Sector department, FATA apprised the Committee that they have launched a number of initiatives for improvement of education in FATA. The Committee took serious notice of the absence of the Additional Chief Secretary, FATA and directed the Ministry of SAFRON to write a letter and convey the reservation of the Standing Committee to the Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and to make sure his presence in the next meeting positively otherwise the Committee will move privilege motion against him.
The Committee was also briefed on the compliance of recommendations made in its last meeting held on October 24, 2016 and other agenda items regarding steps taken by the FATA Secretariat for improvement of education in FATA in detail.
