IESCO Special Committee To Investigate Power Theft Cases

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -21st Sept,2016) : Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan has constituted a special committee under the supervision of Manager (S&I) and Intelligence to investigate power theft in various areas of Islamabad.
Taking serious notice of news published in some section of media claiming that government instruction are not being followed regarding power theft, the CEO directed concerned area SDO, Field Staff and Power Theft checking teams to investigate power theft in Sectors I-9 and G-7.
The CEO also directed S.E Islamabad Raja Asghar to monitor whole circle especially area under news more efficiently and immediately disconnected power supply besides registering an FIR under new law of electricity theft.
The IESCO spokesman said that SDOs and M&T teams were already checking meters on daily basis in the whole region and FIRs were also being registered against culprits.
