IDEAS-2016 Promotes Pakistan's Soft Image In World:CM GB

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Nov, 2016 ) : Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman on Friday described 9th International Defence Exhibition IDEAS-2016 very successful.
It has also promoted Pakistan's soft image in the world. " I am happy to see high participation of foreign and local exhibitors' in IDEAS-2016," he said during an interaction with media after visiting the defence exhibition at Karachi Expo Centre.
He said, it was very encouraging that the defence export of the country was increasing and many countries had shown their interest to enter joint ventures. He said Pakistan was pursuing the policy of "weapons for peace" as the balance of power was must for maintaining peace in the region.
To a question, he said the people of Gilgit-Baltistan were very happy with launch of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
On this account, he continued, many roads had been constructed in Gilgit- Baltistan and huge funds were released to us.
"Only a few political elements were making baseless allegations and trying to harm this game-changer project," he remarked. India felt pain to see successfully execution of CPEC and tried to create hindrances on the way.
But, he reaffirmed, all evil designs by hostile forces would be frustrated through unity of the people. The people living along the borders were disrupted due to Indian firing. However, their morale was high and the entire nation stood with Pakistan armed forces to meet any challenge.
"Pakistan is progressing but India was at loss as it faced many problems," he said. To another question, he said according to Global Peace Index Gilgit-Baltistan was ranked the most peaceful place in the world.
