Honorable Return Of Afghans To Benefit Both Countries: CM

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Nov, 2016 ) : The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that honorable return of Afghan Refugees is in interest of both the countries.
He said repatriation of refugees would have positive impact on progress, prosperity and development of Afghanistan. He was talking to a representative delegation of European Union led by Managing Director Asia Pacific, Gunnar Wiegand here at Chief Minister House on Friday.
Ambassador to European Union Jean-Farancois Cautain also accompanied the delegation. Chief Minister said that in view of the law and order situation registration of refugees was must and could not be overlooked.
"We welcomed those refugees to our homeland who fulfill legal formalities," he added. Pakistan and Afghanistan particularly KP province are interdependent and lawlessness in Afghanistan was directly affecting us, therefore peace in Afghanistan was in interest of the whole region.
KP Chief Minister informed the delegation that due to our pro industrial policies, investors were taking keen interest in KP province as confidence of foreign investors had been restored. He said CPEC would also bring socio-economic revolution in the region.
CM said that our province was rich in natural resources and there were vast avenues for industrialization, tourism, power and mineral sector for investment. He informed that government was striving hard for the development of tourist spots in scenic areas of Chitral, Kalam and Galyat with special focus on district Chitral.
The delegation eulogized reform initiatives and steps of provincial government in various sectors and expressed willingness to cooperate in various sectors.
