HESCO Lodges Case Against Umerkot Attackers

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th july, 2016) : The Sub-Divisional Officer HESCO Operation Division Umerkot has filed an application with the police station concerned for registration of a case against those who attacked an HESCO team which disconnected the electricity connection of Rana Jagir village of Umerkot for non-payment of bills.

According to an HESCO spokesman, the when disconnected the electricity connections of Rana Jagir village, a group of residents attacked it.

The spokesman said electricity connections of defaulters were being disconnected without any discrimination. The HESCO management would not allow the people to use electricity without payment of outsyanding dues, he added. He said HESCO teams also carried out operation in Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Sakrand, Qazi Ahmed and other parts of the region and removed 200 illegal connections, besides recovery of Rs 1.45 million from defaulters.
