PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jan, 2018 ) :Provincial government would facilitate foreign media representatives based in Peshawar to project reforms initiatives as well as portraying real picture of peace loving people of the province, said Secretary Information and Public Relations KP Qaisar Alam here on Wednesday.
He made the assurance to foreign media outlets based in Peshawar during an interactive meeting in media cell of Directorate General of Information Department. Meeting among others was attended by Rifat Ullah Orakzai of BBC, Farid Ullah of D.W Germany, Hameed Ullah of Deewa Radio, Ghulam Ghoos of RFERL, Khalid Khan Khwishgi of Mashal Radio, Haq Nawaz of China news, Inam ur Rehman of Associated Press, Zafrullah Buneri of Al Jazeera tv and Arif Qureshi of VOA.
Secretary Information said that the present government introduced a number of reforms to ensure good governance, accesses to information, better service delivery, protecting the rights of women, safe homes for street children, upholding rule of law, strengthening of democratic institutions as well as a number of reforms in sectors of health, education and police.
Representatives of international media appreciated good gestures of Information Department for sharing useful information and cooperation with foreign media. They assured their cooperation to Information Department and hoped that such interactive sessions would continue in future.
