GOC Murree Calls On President AJK

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jan, 2017 ) : The outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) Muree Maj. Gen. Asif Kalim Wednesday made a farewell call on President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) here at his office and acknowledged the hospitality of the people of Azad jammu and kashir AJ&K and cooperation during his posting in the area.

According to a press release issue by the President office, the President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan while expressing his gratitude with him about army's cooperation during post earthquake activities and holding free and fair elections in the region, said that people of Azad Kashmir would remember his personal efforts for long period.

The president said the people of Azad Kashmir were integral part of Pakistan Army as almost one person from every three families was serving in the army to protect the motherland and the people always had a lot of expectations which the institution fulfilled under his command.

Maj. General Asif Kalim while appreciating the hospitality of the people here said he was taking a sweet memories from the area and would remember his experiences and time spent here for long time. He thanked the president for extending cooperation with him during his posting by government and people.
