GB Govt Taking Steps For Promotion Of Media Industry: Minister

GILGIT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Aug, 2017 ) : Provincial Minister for Information, Public Relations and Development, Iqbal Hasan here Tuesday said the government would take every possible measures for promotion of media industry and journalism in the province.
Talking with Secretary Information GB Fida Hussain here, the Minister said posting of new Secretary Information in GB has reflected that all decisions was being taken strictly on merit and transparency.
He expressed the hope that the new Secretary would give new direction to Information Department besides addressing problems of people associated with media industry.
With an appointment of Secretary Information, he said, the demand of journalists' community was fulfilled.
He directed Secretary Information to take cogent measures for promotion of media industry in the province besides taking steps for highlight the performance of the government. The Minister expressed the hope that with expansion of information secretariat, its regional offices would also be setup in other districts of the province for public service.
