Food Deptt Disposes Of 600 Kg Tea

RAWALPINDI, Feb 1 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Feb, 2017 ) : The District Food Department in its ongoing drive of checking food outlets on Wednesday inspected in different areas of the city and disposed off 600 kg tea while a number of hotel owners were fined of Rs 84,000 for not making cleanliness arrangements.

The department's spokesman told the media that while inspecting Sabz Ali tea shop it was found that unhygienic tea was being sold and the team disposed off 600 kg tea for not following the required SOPs.

He said fine of Rs 84,000 was imposed on different hotels in different areas of the city for not making cleanliness arrangements while notices were served on 18 food outlets, including hotels and bakeries, to improve cleanliness in there kitchens.
