Five Arrested, Rs 78,000 Fine Imposed On Profiteers

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th May, 2017 ) : Price control magistrates have arrested five shopkeepers and imposed fine of Rs 78,000 on profiteers. The district administration assigned task to 41 price control magistrates to take action against the traders involved in artificial price hike.
The magistrates arrested five shopkeepers and sent them to jail in line with Price Act and also imposed fine of Rs 78,000 on others. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Nadir Chathha, in a statement,. warned that nobody would be allowed to earn undue profit. He also warned profiteers that they might spend Eidul Fitr in jail if they did not refrain from artificial price hike.
