Fatima Jinnah To Be Remembered As Role Model For Women: Dr Nahid Akhtar

ISLAMABAD, Aug 1 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Aug, 2017 ) : Renowned poet and writer Dr Nahid Akhtar has said that Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah would be remembered as a veteran politician and social worker forever in the history of muslims' struggle for the attainment of a separate independent state of Pakistan .
Talking to ptv, she said that there were many other leading and role model women whose Names had been written in golden words on the pages of history of the South Asia. She said that mohtarma Fatima Jinnah was an examplary and inspiring woman.
She said that Fatima Jinnah had not only participated in the politics personally but had worked with dedication and devotion alongwith with her brother founding father of Pakistan, the Quaid-e-azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in the struggle for independence of the country.
She said today the women should follow her as a complete role model from home to office added that we should also follow our other historical women personalites of the past in each and every field of profession.
Replying to a question, she said that in order to continue the process of democracy successfully in the country, we should follow examples of such women. She said that there was need to start campaign at the rural and urban areas level for the women to participate in the politics and other areas of professions as they were now more educated as compared to the past when they were not allowed to acquire education.
She said that the females should be given more confidence to opt for any field in the country side by side with the shoulders of the men. She said in the present scenario there were many women who were still following such role modles females and participated in the progress of the country without any difference of cast ,creed and gender.
