Expansion Of Bacha Khan Airport A Gift Of PMLN Govt For People Of KP, Fata: Governor Engir Iqbal Zafar Jhagra

PESHAWAR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2018 ) :Governor Khyber Pakthunkhwa, Engir Iqbal Zafar Jhagra here Wednesday said that completion of Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA), work was a great gift of PMLN government for people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Fata.
Addressing the inauguration of expansion and up gradation work of BKIA here today, the governor said it was the long stand demand of people of KP and Fata that was fulfilled today by the PMLN Government.
He said overseas Pakistani especially of KP and Fata would get quality air facilities at their doorsteps and will not go to other cities for the same. He appreciated the keen interest taken by the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Advisor to PM on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi in completion of phase I of the project.
He said airports and transport play key role in development and progress of the country and expansion of BKIA would bring massive improvement in lives of people. The Governor said PMLN Govt has established a network of motorways, highways and completed a number of airports projects in all major cities of Pakistan during last five years, which would make direct positive effects on the socio-economic conditions of people besides expedite pace of development.
The Governor thanked PM Abbasi for the personal interest taken by him in development of Fata and increasing its annual budget considerably.
