Election Commission Of Pakistan Establishes Display Centers For Voters' Facilitation

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has established 14,487 display centers across the country with a purpose to register votes and correct data of voters.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Mar, 2018 ) :The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has established 14,487 display centers across the country with a purpose to register votes and correct data of voters.

According to ECP sources, centers that are established as part of the preparations for smooth holding of elections 2018, would be open for public in all the four provinces and Federally Administered Tribal Areas from April 26.

Some 7,928 centers were established in Punjab, 2,585 in Sindh, 2,545 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 1,429 in Balochistan, the sources added.

They said the ECP had ensured the registration of those who had acquired new identity cards in the period from 2013 to 2018.

Moreover the Names of persons, who had died and their identity cards were cancelled, removed from voting lists. New voters lists would be displayed for public at the centers, where citizens could check their details and got them corrected in case of any error, the sources said.
