Minister for Defence Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan on Monday said that educated women not only ran domestic matters in a better way but also played a vital role in the progress and prosperity of the country.

GUJRANWALA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2018 ) :Minister for Defence Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan on Monday said that educated women not only ran domestic matters in a better way but also played a vital role in the progress and prosperity of the country.

He said this while addressing a prize distribution ceremony in Quaid Science Base school, Ferozewala Road, here. The Defence Minister said the PML-N government was taking practical steps to improve the educational institutions, adding that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif had spent a huge amount on education sector during last eight years and made the investment for the better future of the youth.

He said that elimination of cheating and unfair means and ensuring merit policy were the hallmark of the PML-N government. He said that as per the vision of PML-N leadership, the government would continue construction of new schools and buildings, and provision of furniture, IT labs and other facilities in the educational institutions.

Addressing on the occasion, Mayor Sheikh Sarwat Ikraam said the PML-N government was serving the masses sincerely. MPA Abdul Rauf Mughal said the government, during four and a half years, had fulfilled all its promises made with the people despite hurdles and conspiracies of the political opponents.

He said the PML-N would defeat its political opponents and make government again after winning the next general elections 2018 with a thumping majority and continue its mission of serving the masses. Students presented fancy dress show, 'milli naghmay' and tableaus on this occasion. Later, prizes were distributed among male and female students showing excellent performance.
