The district administration on Tuesday got vacated over three acre and two kanal state land in an operation which was illegally occupied by a school and college

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Feb, 2018 ) :The district administration on Tuesday got vacated over three acre and two kanal state land in an operation which was illegally occupied by a school and college.

The operation was conducted against Aligarh School & College located in Gulghast area on the directions of DC Nadir Chatta. Led by AC city Mubashar Rehman and AC Headquarter Farooq Dogar, a special team conducted the operation and Deputy Director Punjab Housing & Town Authority, Younus Mughal was given temporary charge of the school and college.

An official handout said that the educational institute was being run for last 10 years after expiry of its lease. Speaking on the occasion, Mubashar said that district administration would run the affairs of Aligarh School & College itself because the lease of the land has ended adding that the school administration has constructed commercial building along with it illegally.

He added that all teachers and other staffers would be given appointment letters through a trust adding that the education institute affairs would not be disturbed even for a single day. The AC informed the commercial building with the school would also be legalised.

Later, addressing a press conference at Multan Press Club, CEO Aligarh School & College Maulvi Sultan Alam said that they had got the control of the school in 1964 from an Assistant Commissioner.

He stated that they were only charging Rs 2,000 as maintenance allowance from the shops built alongside with the school adding that the contractor had hired these shops. The CEO alleged that distt admin encroached the school from us this morning without giving them any legal notice. He informed that as many as 1500 female students were studying at the school & College right now.
