Deported from Turkey, 32 Pakistanis held in Sialkot

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested 32 Pakistanis deported from Turkey while they were trying to enter Turkish territory illegally, as they reached Sialkot International Airport here on Thursday.

SIALKOT,  (Pakistan Point News - 18th Jan, 2018) : The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested 32 Pakistanis deported from Turkey while they were trying to enter Turkish territory illegally, as they reached Sialkot International Airport here on Thursday. Divisional Deputy Director FIA, Khalid Anees said that most of the deported Pakistanis belonged to Sialkot region. He said that the accused had been sent illegally to Turkey three months ago by some local agents after extorting big amounts from them.

From Turkey, the accused were to be sent to Greece and other European countries illegally. However, the Turkish Border Security Forces arrested them three months ago. Most of these deported Pakistanis said that human traffickers and their agents had pledged to send them Greece or other European countries through Turkey. The Pakistani Embassy in Turkey played a pivotal role in their early release from the Turkish prisons. Khalid Anees further said that the FIA has arrested these accused and sent them behind bars for further interrogation.
