Crackdown Against Public Transport Vehicles On M-9 Motorway, Documents Seized

The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) in its ongoing crackdown on M9 Motorway have fined and seized documents of 430 public transport vehicles in a week

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Nov, 2017 ) :The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) in its ongoing crackdown on M9 Motorway have fined and seized documents of 430 public transport vehicles in a week.

The NH&MP Sector-III focal-person Naeem Siddiqui informed here Wednesday that the vehicles were booked mainly for the offences including installation of CNG kits and carrying higher than sanctioned number of passengers.

Among the 430 vehicles, 223 were booked for carrying extra passengers and 207 for the CNG kits.The officials said the Sindh High Court had ordered removal of CNG kits from the public transport vehicles across the province.He apprised that the police had also launched campaigns to help and guide the road users specially those who travel during 10 pm to 6 am.
